Yep norbies new thing has this already....(not released to the general public yet!)

It can make speeds in gear graphs for different boxes / wheel / diff combos

WTF has "VW Gear Ratios " got to do with making a program to select toyota components.

the maths is so simple its not funny, im sure even you could do it mick


but having drop down menus to select diff ie F292, then another drop down menu for gearbox, ie W58 and then graph them all is another thing.

The calculator is the useful bit for people i thought! as i said i have not used one on the net for years, as i use Hewland one for gearsets.

You mean to choose diff ratios to suit what they want? not much component choosing as there are only a few gearboxes one would use??

My tool does all of the above, including the pretty graph.

Note: still in beta. Also I've developed a new feature which calculates the correct speedo drive gears required for any wheel/gearing combination, but I haven't pushed it up to my web site yet.

the graph tells you a 1000 things a calculator cant.

i would have thought someone on a race team like you would have used them religiously.

you can go further and line in each gear to see whether the gears keep the engine in the powerband

I will copy a couple of pages of the Dallara F3 book, its the best one ive seen and would be nice in software format.
