    Default Gland nuts

Hey all, i'm in the middle of putting some ST204 AGX inserts into the RA28 struts.

The gland nuts that come with the AGX inserts are the wrong thread.

Does anyone know who might carry different spare gland nuts? I tried the local pedders store but they reckon they don't have any spare gland nuts - find this hard to believe seeing they fit and remove shocks all day long.

Anyhows.. any other leads? Trying to find something today so can finish the job over the weekend.

    Thanks
    Joel

Maybe ring a few shock manufacturers and see if they will tell you where you can get some/or ring some other shops.

    Otherwise wreckers?
    If in doubt power out

I agree that's going to be the best option Mick.

I gave em a call and explained situation, but they said they don't have any gland nuts. They only get new ones with their shocks and they use them.

I thought that odd, as what happens to all the old ones! Must be thousands I would have thought.

Picked up a set of new ones from Pedders here for the MX32 struts we did a coilover and Pug conversion on. They were the first place tried too. Strange your not getting any help.

They have skip bin out the back and everything that comes off goes straight into the bin. If he was a bit stern it was Craig on the phone{the older of the brothers}, if you didnt buy them from him, he wont be of much help, just the way things go.

    Go the engineers

Go around to terrigal mechanical and tell them boofhead sent you around!
There in erina, 20 aston rd, next door to gary's tyres.
ask for rick and they have plenty of spare nuts extra that might suit.
Let me know if your going and ill ring him.

If they're the same as AE86 ones and you can't find any others I think I came across some the other day.

Give me a call on 0416 949 751 if you get stuck.

I had the same problem with the SW20 KYB's in my RA23 struts with different threads... and the two different types of '23 gland nuts that I had left over weren't suitable either as they didn't fit the diameter of the cartridge insert, either too large or too small. Engineer might be your best option for a perfect fix, but it would be nice to think there is a cheaper option from the spare parts bin

Hey Mick, I gotta drop down to Erina this morning. If you could give the guys at Terrigal Mech a heads up that'd be awesome.

    Cheers
