it ran out of brakes and almost smacked a c55 merc up the ass so its been off the road for 6 months, for the lesser - wage earners like myself, big brakes arent something i can afford overnight

getting there and back with no wheels or suspension in the car makes it a bit difficult.

Anyways, if you're still interested in the swap, there are a couple of people here in Melb who have done the swap (Yian for example) - be happy to give you pointers.

I found an unrego'd manual ma61 which has already had the 7mgte transplant done, and I bought it on the weekend So no engine swaps required.

But there;s a bit of rust around the windscreen (and of course in the tailgate & round the fuel filler door) so depending on how bad/expensive it is to fix, i might end up putting the 7mgte etc into another healthy chassis that i have.

Thanks for the offer for help... Either way I think i will need to install an intercooler pretty soon - the car is running what looks to be the 5me radiator(?) with twin cooling fans, and its fair to say that the engine ran REALLY hot when i picked it up
