The boost I saw on my guage with a standard 1G-GZE was 8.5 to 9 lbs (maximum) depending on conditions at the time. If you smooth out (machine internally) the pipe that exits the supercharger and runs up to the inlet manifold, you will see 9.5 to 10 lbs.
    Cheers.

Anyone played around with a apexi safc2, apexi afc neo or a fcd with the stock 1ggze ecu, what was gained performance wise.
Not alot of info reguarding mods on this engine.

Best thing you can do is install an intercooler and use a smaller s/c pulley (I recall there is a falcon A/C pulley that fits?).

Without an intercooler doing anything else would just create a ticking time bomb

The factory manual states that boost should be 0.4-0.5kg/cm^2 (0.39-0.49bar). That said, my car made 0.7bar with the auto and 0.8bar when converted to manual, though I only had a cheapy gauge so it might not have been accurate.

Though I agree with CrUZ's recommendation that an intercooler needs to be fitted before any boost increase. I am not sure if these have a boost cut as I never really got to test it out, but the factory tune is mega rich so there would be some gains from being able to tune this to a more power production ratio. I am still intrigued as to what these motors can do as there isnt much info as you say, so look forward to any progress you make.

Like most Toyota flap AFM's, they tend to max out around 14-16psi depending on atmospheric temp.
But if you tighten the spring a couple of notches, you'll get a couple more psi out of it.

I'd estimate mine was around 8-9psi.
After converting to the 1UZ the difference was chalk and cheese (1UZ is basically a 1GGZE with 15psi boost).
    There was no comparison.

I'd expect similar gains to a 1GGTE with the same mods, minus the kW's from the parasitic drag the SC14 has.

Thanks for the info guys much appreicated. Im picking up a 1ggze w57 package for my gx71 in the next couple of weeks. So i plan to swap it in and get it all running sweet in stock trim before i play around and do a few mods. May be a few months before i get to that stage tho. I going to do a build/conversion thread on it hopefully.
Big zop any chance you could pm or email me your gx81 1ggze dyno sheet because the picture in the dyno results section isn't working. I would like to use it as a bench mark thanks.
