Can anyone confirm Z20 and A70 steering rack are the same?

Hi,
Can anyone confirm for me whether or not Z20 and A70 steering racks are the same? As far as I understand some have PPS but i beleive this can be disabled by blocking the PPS hydraulic fluid line. Has anyone ever done this before or used a MA70 steering rack in a GZ20 or vice-versa?

They are identical as far as I can tell & all the parts are interchangeable, though the soarer may have the solenoid doobery for PAS modulation. Just mix & match the bits you need.

Awesome thanks heaps for that, i can pick up a reco'ed one and have power steering again, bumping my car back up to the eighties technologically
