    Default 5m dizzy swap. prob.

i know this has been documented a number of time i have searched both forums about this but im have reached a point where i am stuck. Basically i have put a 5m dizzy on my 4m engine but the bracket that bolts the dizzy to the block doesnt line up it way off and as a result it cant get the timing right etc etc. The engine runs but like rat shit. I was wondering how people did or what is a way to get around this problem.
    thanks for any help.
i feel much better now that ive given up hope

You need to get the "spacer/adaptor plate" from the 5M-E setup. You must have left it attached to the block when you took the dizzy off.

This is what it looks like, (i forgot it too and had to buy one off someone on this forum).

From that you might jsut be able to make it. Its 8mm thick, if you measured the 5M-E dizzy base to the gear then you would have notices its about 5mm too long, this spacer/adaptor plate fixes the gap and the bolt possition.
