Default 4AGE 20v timing belt tension

I am installing a new timng belt on my silvertop and my problem is this, I don't know exactly where to position the timing belt tensioner pulley. Do I just let the spring on the tensioner pulley tighten the belt on its own or is there a method for getting the tension exactly right. Any elp would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Yes use spring tension but make sure you turn the engine slightly clockwise before you tighten the tensioner bolt to allow it to take up any slack.

i would also use a screwdriver and push on the tensioner then let it come back to spring load
