Default Will Front RA60 Discs And Calipers Bolt To Ae86 Struts??

    Gday Everyone!

I have heard that RA60 Discs and Calipers will bolt to AE86 Front Struts!!
Can anyone confirm this at all??? Is there any modification needed at all to bolt them up??? As if they do bolt up with ease, I will buy all new rotors and calpires from work.
Please let me know if anyone has done this allready
Oh...And with Pictures aswell if possible.

    Cheers, NOS4AG!

The RA60 STRUTS (as a whole) bolt onto the AE86 LHC/Steering Knuckle. But taking off just the calipers alone will not bolt onto an AE86 strut without modification. The backing plate's bolts have different spacing.

So your options are; use the entire RA60 strut. Or get them done custom (Which is definately not worth it) as the only difference between the two brakes are that RA60s have vented rotors. Which is better than the stock auspec ae86 braking package but its deifnately not worth spending somewhere in the vascinity of $200 to get them modded (unless you can do it yourself) The actual diametre of the rotors are the same (or virtually the same size..i cant remember what i measured the diametre as they mighta been different)

Best bet, get the JDM ae86 brakes (as they dont give you postivie camber as the ra60 struts do) This involves getting the JDM Rotors & Calipers. OR spend some extra $$$ and get an RX7 backing plate and fit RX7 calipers/rotors (which overall.. have a larger braking surface)

    AE86 rotors: 238 x 12.5
    RA60 rotors: 258 x 20

On top of this the RA60 has bigger calipers and significantly more pad area. I'm not sure what makes you think AE86 brakes are nearly the same as RA60 brakes, they're completely different.

Huge, like 150mm, if not more.
Not as big as RA40 though. (I'm pretty sure the AE86 was closer than the RA40..)

RA60 discs will bolt to the back of an AE86 hub, but they won't be hub centric.
RA60 hubs do not fit on AE86 spindles without custom bearings.

I'm working on skyline disc/caliper upgrades for both AE86 and RA40 soon.
Will start threads when its under way.

So if the RA60 front struts bolt up to the 86, chances are they'd bolt up to a KE70?

None of it bolts straight up at all, do a search of the old forums and see if you can find where I posted about how to make it all work (including skyline brakes) for your corolla.

RA60 brakes do not fit corolla struts.
RA60 struts do not fit onto corolla steering knuckle.
RA60 struts will give you positive camber in a corolla
RA60 struts also need the spring seat changing.
RA60 brakes alone are not a worthwhile 'upgrade'

Um... the whole point of bigger brakes is improved fade resistance.
