    Default 4AG cam cover breather

    Hi all,
Is there any 4AG cam covers that don't have the "breather/outlet" between cylinders 2 and 3 on the inlet cam? If so, were abouts is the breather/outlet?

    Cheers

no, the only way to have no breather is if two non beather ones { exhaust side} have been used! Never seen{could be as ive been surprised before by the 4a's variations} any other type than the inlet side cover having the breather go into the plenum!
You could make a breather one out of a non breather one and put the breather at the end if thats what you looking for!

    Hi,
I've got a 4AGZE in my TA22, and I've had a very nice cusom curved pipe coming inot my inlet mainfold. I did this for clearance with the bonnet.

The issue is with the bloody breather, it hits my new inlet pipe. I'm going to swap the cover (inlet to exhaust, exhausrt to inlet) and see whether I'll have enough clearance with the spark plug lead for cylinder 2.

The inlet was made because I thought I would have clearance issues with the bonnet.

    Cheers

get a non breather cam cover / drill /and weld new bung where you want it.

sounds like the easiest way to sort ya clearance.

The breather has a series of baffles in it to try and stop oil entering the inlet system. If you just put a tube in to an exhaust side cover it will pump plenty of oil out.

An inlet cover will fit on the exhaust side but the tabs for mounting the tray over the spark plugs will be pointing out rather than in, so you wont be able to bolt it down.

A 4AG with 2 inlet covers looks pretty horn

    Hi,
The plan is looking like just swapping the covers from side to side.

I must have the SUPECHARGER exhaust cam. It has great "wank" factor.

I may just get the breather outlet moved.

Or you can search far and wide for a Geo Prizm Gsi cam cover which is blank on the non-breather side...

Thats exactly the same as other 4AGs. Breather and oil filler on intake, it doesnt help him when he needs the breather on exhaust.

I believe the breater on the 1G sits on top of an otherwise flat cam cover - you could cut one off and weld it to the exhaust side.

    Hi,
That is on horn looking 4AGE....

Almost makes me want to go turbo. Almost.... I just have an SC14 from a 2TZ-FZE which is begging to be fitted up.

I probably should get the actual car running first. The engine has only been in the car for over 3 years.............

I'll post a picture of my outlet tonight.

    Cheers
