    Default adding Power Steering

Is adding power steering to a car that doesnt have it possible? its a rt142 corona and mine doesnt have power steering. it doesnt really bother me just wondering if it would ever be worth the effort. some of the coronas do have it so the parts are out there for it.

Yes it's quite possible if you get all the required parts. This generally means the complete steering rack, hydraulic pump including brackets/pulleys/belt, and of course the hydraulic hoses. Whether or not the cost/effort involved is "worth it" is entirely up to you.

Nah, thats probably the easiest part.

You may have to get the proper steering arms aswell.

ive put complete ra60 crossmember and power steer into my 77 celica.

lot easier in your case as the pwr str rack should just bolt in place of your std rack.
bolt on the power steer pump and brackets. connect a few hose clamps and your done.

RA60, RA65 are also a source of these parts

same engine (ra65 only) and 90% chance its the same xmember (check with your tape measure)

you may also have to change the main pulley on the front of the crank if it doesnt have the required grooves.

I wouldn't bother.. could play with the castor if you find the steering is too heavy. Or just be a man.
