just did this useing RA60 power steering ideler pulley & other parts.

Parts i used are, ra60 power steer idler pulley, ra60 lower engine 12mm bolt & nut, ra60 alt 8mm bolt with large washer, 2 x 8mm nuts & 2 x large washers as spacers.

here are both stock & mod pulleys

mount the pulley assembaly & make out the holes, centre punch lower hole 12mm from bottom & 2nd hole 32mm from bottom, i then drilled both holes at 6.8mm & taped with an 8mm thread.

Or you could just get the braket off a mteu and that mounts the p/s pump direct to the head , sorry to can your hard work , this is much much easyer than finding a mteu pump brackets

Nice work mate, definately +rep for that one And have you got any info on the other stuff you did? Just put bolts into the block where the air rail went? And what about the other vacuum lines or things running from the air pump to the cabling mess on the right?

But he would need to change the belt yes? By the look of this he's kept everything else all hooked up. I've got an MTEU bracket but my plan sort of shifted awhile back to stripping out the insides of the pump if I could and just leaving the pulley sitting there spinning etc.

when i did the air tubes, i had three options
1:- remove the air tubes cut the nuts off of the end, & weld the hole up that is down the middle, fit back in to the head.
2:- buy 6 pressure plugs from bolt shop ( i will get sizes )
3:- try and find stock block off plugs from a Cresseda / Crown with no air pump ( 1983 4M ? i will try to find out ).

these parts are hard to find, & RA60 parts are every were
I used the stock belt . unplug the electrics & block hoses off.

Well I just did this mod with the above bracket and it worked great! Wasn't too hard and now my engine sounds much nicer when it revs (no crappy pump noise) and I don't get constant backfires when using gear compression! I recommend to anyone that can spare 30 mins to do this, worth it imo

And I just left my air rail attached but took the hose off. It's got a valve in it so it won't spit exhaust into your engine bay.
