ToyotaFest 2005 - Sun 2nd October.

It was an awesome day and if nothing else it made me get my car to run for the first time this year.

The quality and variety of cars was top notch and only really esxceeded by the quality of the owners. It never ceases to amaze me how friendly and easy going the Toyota community are when you speak to them in person, it's just a pleasure to be able to help run an event that brings so many like minded people together to enjoy one of their passions.

And Dave you rocked at getting the day organised, great work mate.

Lastly thanks to Rod and Mos for pulling an all nighter with me to get my car running, there's no way I would have had the committment to stick with it to get to the show if you guys hadn't been around to encourage me. Besides working through the night until 6:30 on someone elses car before starting the show at 7 is a great build up

Seems like its working great where its held atm - though as this year seems to have proved - its getting bigger and bigger !

To give an idea of the growth from last year....

---> thats a 53% increase!

Awesome support from everyone this year! I'm hoping that with continued growth like this we can look at expanding the ToyotaFest event to include some drag racing or other events on a second day in the near future.... this is something i've always dreamed of ToyotaFest becoming!!


I'll definitely be seeing you all again next year - bigger, better, and shinier

What an awesome day! After a wedding the night before I arrived about half-way through the day and found the carpark pretty much packed It was great to see so many cars (both new & old school) on display, and the quality of some of the cars has certainly raised the bar a tad I think. Despite this I can't imagine it's ever going to stop being the sort of show that anyone can enter..

It will also be great if the numbers can continue to grow as well - will be excellent to see that extra carpark packed out next year!

I think the cars could have been spread out more, it looked like it was going good for the toymods cars on angles on the back wall like caldina and puzzleman, then most of the other cars starting being grouped up very close...though you never know how many cars will come so the right decision was made.

oh, and regarding the question of changing venue.... we won't be changing for next year. We had reserved this year 2 carpark areas, and only used one, meaning that an increase next year will not be a problem (unless we get over 200 cars!!)
