I'm pretty sure it's all been said, so I'll keep it brief...
Thanx again to everyone that turned up on the day... you guys and girls make the event what it is.
And special thanx to our sponsors for the event...
- Redyard (for the venue)
- Brown Box (for the ToyotaFest website)
- Castrol (for 'winners' prizes)
- Grim Performence (for Entrants Choice over Best of Show prizes)
They have all in some part donated generously to help keep ToyotaFest going and improving it from year to year!
This year again proved that there is a huge Toyota community out there, varying from old school (30+ years) right through to present day Toyota's. The passion and dedication that we all have for our cars was well represented with the quality of Toyota's on display as well as where some of the entrants came from; Western Australia, South Australia and Newcastle come to mind. All up we had a total of 94 Toyota's filling the Reading Cinemas Car Park with mother nature turning on the sunshine for another fantastic day.
So without any more babble and for those unable to attent (I'm sure you;'ll be there next time!), the winners for ToyotaFest 2006 are...
Best of Show
+ Top Coupe, Best Interior and Entrants Choice
Jeff Mitchell - TA22
Best Original Classic
Michael Crocker - TA22
Best Modern Original
Ray Norman - MS112
Top Engine Bay and Sponsors Choice (Castrol)
Joseph Lyovic - JZA80
Top Hatch
Daniel Ross - AE92
Retro Tech and Police Choice
Stewart White - RA28
Top Late Model
Simon - ST204

Time is priceless yet it costs us nothing. You can do anything you want with it but you can't own it.You can spend it but you can't keep it.And once you've lost it, there is no getting it back, it's just gone."
Nice pics Dav but they really don't do justice to the quality of the cars. Thomas's TA22 is truly spectacular on the outside and pretty damn nice on the inside as well.
I guess we need to get the pics taken a little bit earlier so it's not in the mid day sun.

thanks to toyotafest for giving me the motivation to finish my car in record time (well record time for me anyway).
sorry i couldnt hang around and feel free to make swishing noises like when you are casting a fishing line. (had to take the wife home)
MX83 2JZ-GTE!!
#YOLO.
Yup... definately need a little more time with the photo's . Mine were pretty rushed this year. I'm sure there's a whole bunch of nice one's out there from everyone else so it would be great if anyone could donate a CD's of pics which I can add to our ToyotaFest photo library. The more the better!
