driveshaft problem

After replacing the engine in my MX22, im having problems connecting up the drive train.
It is a two-piece driveshaft, but for whatever reason it doesnt want to fit anymore,
The center bearing is about 3cm off the mounting bolts, so to the gearbox does not sit flush on the crossmemeber and its bolt holes dont match up they are about 1cm off. Any ideas of what could be causing this? The engine mounts match up with each other, there is no overlap or anything.

is the bellhousing flush with the engine? ie when you put the gearbox back on did it bolt up properly?

yer there is no problem there, sry i should of said the center bearing is 3cm off (its 2 short)

Engine mounts weren't upside down, or back the front or anything?

Not sure if it's possible on your car but I have heard of it before on others.

How does the gearbox crossmember line up to the bolts on the chasis?

hahah nar they weren't upside down, its not possible. The gearbox crossmember lines up the bolts on the chasis but the bolts that connect the gearbox to the crossmemeber are about 1cm off, its got me beat what on earth could be wrong.

Can the crossmember be switched around, left to right or the drive/propeller shaft, front to back??

Are you using the orignial engine mounts?
Does the centre bearing length not reference off the diff end and the gearbox end have a slip joint?

Yes i used the original mounts the drive/propeller shaft can be switched back.
The center bearing length does not reference off the diff end and the gearbox does have a slip joint
this is a rough image of what it looks like i will try to get some photos of it incase that could help.
