1g-gte front winged sump into TA23 Sway Bar issues!

Before u say search, I have been and done many times to no avail. Plently on 1g into ra23, but not on Ta23 with front sump.

Engine: 1g-gte air air cooler with winged front sump
Car: Ra23 with TA23 front X-member (basically a TA23 now)

Apparenly the front sump 1g was meant to be almost bolt in with the Ta23 xmember and correct mounts. The problem I have is the front sump fouls the front sway bar by about an
inch. I'm confused to as it was meant to fit! (famous last words) Am I missing something obvious, or is it true I will need a custom/modified front sway bar to make things work!

I have no mounts at all installed on the engine, just test fitted with engine hoist and jack. Still no change of it fitting though.

Any help apreciated!!

You are right it will not fit. When using the front sump 1g-gte with a ta23 cross member the sump needs to be modified to allow room for the sway bar.

its either custom sway bar or alter the sump to clear.

I have this problem in my ra28 and im just goin to slope the front wall of the sump enough to clear.

or just use the RA cross member and mid sump setup.

may have a RA cross member if you're interested.
