Default stock fwd beams 3sge dyno results

Opinions on these graphs, do they look alright to the experts?

Looks abit lean in the lower RPM, but this could just be toyota ECU's way of preserving economy in granny driving mode? Motor is rated at around 190-200HP at the flywheel stock, so at the wheels i suppose this is in the ballpark with 30% drivetrain loss.

looks alright, a bit lean but prob will be like that with standard ECU, i take it thats it is standard ECU.
    thats not bad power either...

    thanx, yep standard ECU.
I dunno if charlie visits these forums? he had a redtop fwd beams motor and recorded 112rwkw on stock ECU.

Wasn't sure if that lean area was an issue or normal toyota ECU behaviour.

Ah interesting the 3sgte is the same on stock ECU! my conclusion was that the compression wasn't as high in that rpm range and so running abit leaner down that area of rpm was safe. Probably for fuel economy i suppose.

Sorry i should of mentioned the beams is fitted into an aw11 mr2.

I dunno about a tad lean.

going offf the dyno graph it says that the AF is getting into the low 12s which is a bit rich for an atmo.

That is the sort of AF i run on my engine (high boost turbo)

EDIT: sorry my stuff up --- i didnt see the lower rpm range

thanx for the reply anyway 30psi 4agte, at least the old stock 4age 86kw fuel pump is keeping the beams well fed.

My NA toyota ecu'd engine gets down around 12s afr or a bit under up top, similar revs too. Its toyota's over-protective nature

Hey guys, thanks for the opinions on my dyno graphs, I have just recently signed up so this is my first post but have been observing for a while now (Urantia is my more knowledgable cousin)
My main worry was that it could be running too lean and causing damage over a period of time, the workshop reccomended a piggyback unit to control fuel or another complete ecu.

    thanx again

I get similar behaviour from my stock gze ecu. It is quiet annoying as it will ping down low if you nail it on warmish-hot days, or going up hills etc.

Others have been able to use a piggy back air-fuel adjuster to help eleviate this I believe.

I really wouldnt worry about it provided it's not pinging. From the last dyno day I went to, my car didn't go below 13:1 AFR's until nearly 3500rpm. The fact that it went below 10:1 about 1000rpm later is irrelevant.

I think we scored this one for around the $3k-4k mark with lsd sw-20 mr2 box. Had about 60-80,000k's on it if i remember correctly. Love to get ahold of another one but they just don't seem to exist at any import places in oz.

Yeah definately not leaning out. Graph shows enrichment. That is how Toyota ECU's are programmed. Keep them rich and cool at the top end, thats why stock Toyota engines last so long !!

    cheers Chuck.
