CBC is your best bet.... They have them listed for T-18 which should fit (for zenki diff)
Anyone know the part# or where I can get a new bearing kit for my T-Series(Disc) rear end? I think my is rooted, because after I had the LSD installed and did a few donuts it start to make humming noises when I drive at about 80+km/h.
Thanks

Uh no, careful with the information there. The T18 bearings are about 1/3 of the size of the JDM disc bearings. Thats one of the big reasons for importing the JDM diffs.Originally Posted by RobertoX
Also, ive never seen a JDM bearing go, they are quite reliable. I would suggest that you also look at the crown wheel and pinion on your diff, as that can cause humming.
The JDM bearings are about $80 a side, and you would really want to ensure that it is them, as they are a pain to replace.

Really? oops I take that back
Are they the same as any other t series bearing?
They are massive double row jobbies.....can fail but you really want to make sure they have failed because they are bloody expensive. A friend replaced his on an MA45 diff - $340 later he had a quiet diff.
Yeah, very much not cheap. They may be similar to TA22 items.

Usually when a wheel bearing starts to make noise, it's a tick tick noise which changes frequency with road speed, and you will hear its either the left or right. If you have a constant whine (expecially just after putting the LSD in) you may have a crown wheel and pinion noise. Maybe you didn't adjust it up right, check the backlash and tooth pattern. Or maybe you damaged a side bearing on the diff carrier.
Maybe get a mechanic to take it for a drive, then take the LSD out again and give it to him to set up correctly.
I want to buy a disk brake rear end. If only I had $1850 :-(
$1850, ImportBitz has one for $950

This humming noise only happen when I let go of the accelerator between 80-100km/h. Could it be the tailshaft? does unbalance tailshaft make noise?
Does anyone actually have a sprinter diff that is totally quiet? Every sprinter I've been in seem to either whine or hum from the rear end.
Then it is definitely not the wheel bearing. Wheel bearing noise will be constant. Diff noise with change on/off throttle. Yes it could be the tailshaft, but those 2 piece tailshafts are usualy fairly good. Check the rubber center support bearing on the tailshaft, they need replacing sometimes.
