TA22 Fuel Line questions?

Hey,
I am currently setting up my ta22 for a 3tgteu, and i just need to know which is the feed line and which one is the return line that come out of the top of the fuel tank (75 model) . I know there is only two at the top so if anyone could help it would be great....

turn the pump on and see , perhaps the feed would have a fuel filter inline in the engine bay?

Remove the filler cap and if there is fuel in the tank and you blow air into the two lines you should hear bubbling through the fuel on the pickup and just air moving on the return.

mabye he is being a bit vague. so i will explain.

looking into the boot, there are 2 metal hoses coming out of the tank.
so answering with left or right, which one is the main feed and which is the return line??

thanks for the useless information ....pitty the pump isnt hooked up yet-thats what we are trying to do.

Go with Brianra23s suggestion, unless you have no fuel in the tank it works every time, will only get resistance/ bubbling noise from one pipe, that is the fuel, the other is return.

In case I was too vague

There are two hoses for fuel delivery return- one on the left and one on the right, but it doesn't matter that they might be front and back.

Put fuel in tank, enough for the pickup to be in it
Remove the filler cap
Blow into the two hoses one at a time and the results should be

if there is resistance or you hear bubbles it is the pickup/feed.
If no bubbles or resistance then you have the return line.

Using this method you can check it again once you have run the lines to the engine bay and feel confident you have it right.

If you have access to some compressed air you can easily pressurise the tank and make it squirt out the OUT line.

Stuff rag and air blower into filler, gently squeeze to get some pressure, only a few psi is needed, so don't go bananas cos your tank may get swollen.

You could do it with your lungs, but last time i did it, mega headspins!!!

You can also use this trick for siphoning fuel, don't ever drink petrol again.
