    heya river,
great thread you have here, very informative stuff for a newbie like me.
was just wondering though, why the pictures showing the various T series parts aren't loading up? would've been a very handy resource to check up on if they were still worked.

something wrong with the image hosting site you're using?

hey river possibly a question you can't answer but I'll give it a try
do you know if there is any difference between 2t and 3t conrods?
I don't think there is but I just want it confirmed if possible

Well, I know that the conrods out of a 3TGTEU can be used in a 2TGEU (that's what's in mine), so I would have thought so. Same length, etc. but thicker, stronger and with more oil holes.

Unless 2T's and 3T's are a different thing altogether?

Sorry, but I can't answer this question 'cos I don't know much, nor have any, 3T engine info. However, this forum is a smorgasboard of Toyota gurus who should know the answer.

    Hi,

Yeah, I'll try and get onto this this weekend... maybe even do some tonight!

Most of the pics from all my threads got broken links when the web-hosting service I used went down. So I'm going through my posts and puting the pics on Image Shack so they can be seen again. I think this 2T thread is the last (I hope) I need to do.

Again, sorry for the delay it's just that there's heaps of pics and it takes me time to find the right image on my PC and then get them onto Image Shack and then into the threads - plus it kills my monthly download limit.

Here's pics of the forged pistons and 3TG conrods that have gone in my 2TGEU with an 88266 head. I think the 88266 head has larger valves than the 88222, and both have double springs (from memory).

I have Early and late heads but never found any different size valves,
Is that a fact or a myth? i know there are big differences between OHC and DOHC models
and same goes for the factory doubles?
