ive never seen it happen between engine families
10mm laser cut alloy adaper plate and bodgy up a jz sump - its got to be pretty damn close id imagine
Just looking at the EPC, and pulled up the sump for the 1GZ (rather, small block diagramma) and noticed that it's flared out towards the flange end for the gearbox.
Is it possible sometimes that one sump that Toyota use is the same as another on a different series engine? i understand that sometimes oil feeds have to be adapted, but just thought I'd check.
ie. Has a 2JZ sump been attached to a 1UZ? etc?
here's the 2JZ sump.

JZ sumps are much longer than UZ sumps, that much i can tell you! They won't bolt up!

Yeah, but is it longer than a 1GZ sump?

Heres a jz series front sump for visual comparison
