Hey guys,
Just looking around for an engine etc at the moment to put in my ta22 and i was wondering what engine would be good for an easy conversion and what sort of gearbox's, diffs etc to use.

Hi,
In a nutshell you need to define what you mean by "easy". If it means the least expensive and the conversion with the least amount of hassles, then go for a 2T-G engine. You'll be able to keep your existing drive train and the 2T-G is almost a bolt-in job.
However, as mentioned, search the web and these forums for 2T-G powered TA22 cars and see what you like and then come back with more questions if you still require answers.

Yeah sorry guys i did a quick search but couldnt find too much info. Price range isnt too much of a factor its got a 2t geu already but its stuffed so i was looking for something a bit better that wouldnt require too much modifying etc maybe a 4age? any other ideas
13b from rx8?
4age 20v?
sr20det?
the list goes on
these are not "bolt in" solutions mind you
cool cheers for all your help. I'l be getting an engine in the next week or two so il post sum pics when its all done.
what did you decide on?
4age or 4agze it'l probably be, just trying to find a good deal
mate why not go for the 3TGTEU?
yeah its a bit old but you can get some awsome power figures and alot easier to install than the 4A motors
pretty hard to find over here in nz, 4age there are heaps of engines and parts. Il have a hunt around anyway cheers
Spend the money that you would've spent on a 4AGE on a 2TG (non EFI version).... But if you can't get parts then knock urself out.
