If you want to make good power out of the engine and a hassle-free install, get a full ECU. EMS stinger, Adaptronic and MicroTech are the first few that come to mind. Budget about 2k including fitting and tuning. The only thing is you'll need to rig a little circuit to run the SC, if you want it to run like factory...

how can an APEXI (not HKS) power FC be more expensive than a microtech?? unless its screwed.

i bought a LT10s, the newer model than a MT8. it cost me 1200 with loom, X4 ignition box hand controller and a free dyno session. this is going on a GZE that isnt stock.

i had no help choosing the one i wanted, i weighed up several different things and the microtech was the winner for me, but thats my own choice. do what you want after you have researched it.

So, I have quite a bit of information on these ECU but its too much for listing. If anyone requires some I can provide and share the info. However, what would be your suggestion on these ECU?

this is a very good setup

but it will turn on yr superchager at the right time hehehe



for hassle free fitting id go for microtech

no matter which one u buy budget fr a minimum of 2000

if u cant afford this then sell yr car to sims for 50 bucks and go buy a pushie

i have read up an algorithm for the GZE (and really applies to all superchargers) and how it should function... it went something like turn on at certain MAP point, and turn on at 3000 RPM regardless to it won't fry the clutch by activating on at 5000 RPMS or something

dude.. that issue about not revving past 4500 is very typical.. it's related to a knock sensor isn't it? it's nothing to do with the ECU... and is a very common problem.. u can rev it past that, but it's just retarded i.e. no power... in come instances u'll be in limp mode.. but that's about what i gather and experience with them.

edit.. i hope that helps... i can sort of vaguely understand what u're asking...

and the conclusion is .. go for STOCK ECU!!! it's not as if u've got massive cams, insane lift, oversized pistons, stroker kit and 7M injectors... like oldcorolla's said it's a freshen up stock..

Well, after all.... I'll find out about the GZE reving problem 1st before I decide. If its nothing to do with ECU then I'll might go for stock one until I make more mods.

My car revved perfectly fine with the factory ECU when it was supercharged and when it was turboed.
