Old engine and gearbox have gone to an MZ10 owner who plans to acheive 300rwkw with it!

I was just in Auckland 3 weeks ago... it would've put me way over my 20kg luggage limit

Well...

I figured that i might as well do a semi final update on the conversion's progress. On the long weekend I spent most of my time fixing the power steering, modifying the exhaust and putting the front of the car back together.

i'm just at the wiring stage of my GZ20 with 1JZGTE manual swap.
what did you do about the digi speedo?
and how did you connect it up?
the supra has an analoge speedo.....i'm at this stage of the grey wiring plug,that feeds behind the guages.

i've wired up the main plug from the engine harness to the car harness.
after the dash wiring,i'll try the aircon harness..hahaha...i hope i have no dramas with that one!

next plug is the underbonnet large grey connector,what did you do with wiring that one up?
is that one basically straight forward?

im sure i wrote something about this elsewhere, but i used the auto sender off my a340e.. screw that onto the r154 (goes straight on), take those 3 wires that come off the sender, run it up and through the firewall to where the ecu sits, locate the purple and white wire that runs over from the dash to the the ecu area - connect the signal wire to that, then find a 12v and gound, connect them up and hey presto - speedo

Zactly! I had a A340e auto box before the manual 7M conversion, which was before the 1J conversion! Screwed the sender from that onto the R154... perfect.

Robbo and Danners ... did u both get a A70 manual r154 cut for around $4.5k or should i be saving about $6k ?
