Default e series awd center diff torque split?

So i'm starting to play around with the e150f e58 & e57f5 boxes - I want to build an awd box for a 4agze with a viscous center diff.
Already have a e58 & my written off caldina's e150f. yet to obtain a e57f5 as I know they will be a real pain to pull in the wreckers!

to get the ratios I want to use I need to use a e58 or a e158 box. I have had a look at the center diffs and the caldina/gt4 centre diff looks to be much bigger than the ae95 center diff. space is already at a premium with the 4a block, so I need another option. I have been told that the rav4 center diffs are physically smaller (yet to have a look at one) rav4's very easy to find in the wreckers.

so - does anyone know the torque split on these box's center diff's?
obviously the e57f5 with it's manually locking diff will be 50:50 but that is unsuitable for use on a awd street car
    caldina /gt4 60:40 i'd say
    rav4??

any ideas? maybe someone has done this research on a gt4 forum?

    Thanks

    Hi Paul

well i recently bought back my wife's supercharged sx corolla "ladysx" - we sold her off 10 years ago (really not a practical car with babies) & she disappeared off the face of the earth. Recently my wife was saying she regretted not doing an awd conversion on her old corolla & would like to do another one - so i started looking for a decent sx corolla as a basis (very hard to find now)- then the other month i just happened to look on gumtree & about an hour prior, her old car had been listed up for sale in Canberra - so we bought her back.
bit of a timecapsule as it was really quite close to how we sold it, but rough & had some electrical issues (knock sensor & oxy sensor were the major ones)

So - plan is to get her running properly again (nearly there) & then convert her to awd, then repaint & rebuild her mechanically

    not much really!

    Hey T
I don't know the specific answer to your question, but if I had the same goal, I'd use Rav4 gen1 driveline.
It shares the same front CVs as the AE95 Corolla 4wd, so will fit the SX supercharged too.

You'd have to swap the bell-housing with the 4AGZE bellhousing which is a pretty big job considering 5th gear and the torque plate need to be removed.

Probably best to go with Corolla AE95 4WD sub-frame and front sway bar.
For the floorpan tunnel, there's not much room for a prop-shaft and exhaust, let alone a catalytic converter. You'd have to get creative.

In the rear, you can use the Rav4 diff and would have to find a way to marry it with the SX rear suspension.

This mazda thread, where they use a hybrid mix of Toyota front wheel drive gearboxes (camry gears inside 4AGZE casing), ..gives a strong idea of what's involved in swapping the 4agze bellhousing onto a Rav4 drive line.

and this Rav4 blog also has some great pics & info re: hybrid Toyota E-seriex gearboxes.
