Default Assistance needed to import parts from Japan?

I remember there was a member on here who specialized in bidding and importing items from Japan. I am looking for a gearbox on Jauce, which bid is quite reasonable, but freight through Fedex there contract carrier, is exceptionally high and makes it unaffordable.

    Cheers

    Thanks.
I was quoted approx. $960 AUS from Fedex. I know it would cost at least $4 to $5 hundred with other freight which I would accept in that range. I really only need the bellhousing, I can't get one over here, but they won't separate and I can buy one from Dellows for $700 plus freight.

Option is to get Streeter to buy gearbox and remove the bellhousing and send that only. Fee will apply for work to remove bellhousing so ask him and see

I got gearbox today. Thanks for link to Streeter. They were really good to deal with. I would recommend them to anybody needing items from Japan imported.

Your best bet is to contact them, due to variations in size, weight etc which affects cost. I purchased my gearbox through them from Japan Ebay. Saved a lot of hassle and cost was reasonable compared to other quotes.
