It had been a while........

I have a client here in the USA who acquired a 1G-GTE and he asked me if I could go through it for him.




First step get it disassembled....




and cleaned...





and build a new tool.....

Now that I have a bore adapter, it's time to get a baseline prior to porting

first step set bowl/seat diameter @ 85% of the valves diameter.

a little before and after......


before..... flow on the intake side went dead between .250" and .300" lift, while on the exhaust side the port went dead between .200", and .250" lift.






after.... flow on the intake side now flows out to .350" lift, while the exhaust side now flows out to .325" lift

Ha!. One of my favorite awfully written series from when I was a teenager. SO cheesy and culturally insensitive.
