    Default Interchangeable alternators

Hi I'm looking for some definitive/knowledgeable advice on replacing a 1ggze alternator (mine has just had a rebuild but I could not get a new slip ring). Looks like this is the last rebuild I'll be able to do on it.

    The original part No. is

    27039-42020

It's a 100A unit with the round plug.

I have read opinions that 7mge (only 80A) and 7MGTE (some 100A) might fit, but I can't find dimensions.

Can anyone offer advice or is it just easier to pick an alternator and gets some mounts fabricated?

Bosch Alternators, 733 pages, but from page 447 onwards, it has diagrams with sizes, as well as identification images (and voltage, current etc)
