Engine is a blacktop 20v, burning oil under acceleration and it stinks!! Did a compression test, noticed a bit of oil in cylinder #2 but I think that's just because the valve cover has no gasket just that silicone gasket stuff. Anyway, did a compression test got 210 across all cylinders, but then did a wet compression test and cylinder #2 went off the clock!! So confused. Need help on what to do as I'm a student and haven't got money for a mechanic. Is it head gasket or what?

If you got 210psi in all four cylinders dry, that is a good result. Providing you only put a teaspoonfull of oil down the plug hole, you should have got near enough the same result... perhaps a few psi more. There is no reason for one cylinder to go way high on the wet test unless it was way low on the dry test.

Suggest you retest
