The problem is overcome with an oil squirter on a bronze distributor gear. Not sure what causes it.
I purchased a new Crower 68152 cam recently and since found they can chew out dizzy/ oil pump drive gears. Anybody used one of Crowers cams without trouble. I had read about this problem with Schneider cams but just read about Crower having this same problem. Have researched on 3tc about ways to fix this but seems odd these mods need to be done.
Any feedback/ input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tony

Thanks for your reply. I contacted Crower and mentioned these other comments and their reply basically said, must be using high volume oil pump which puts pressure on gears. The person from Crower said he uses these particular cams himself and, these are same castings used for OEM cams.
I saw similar info on 3tc garage, but, no one makes the gears to purchase. I don't have any engineering plants nearby who could make these.
