Default 2013 kluger gsu55r ecu remap or aftermarket piggyback

I am picking up my kluger on Monday and I have been thinking about getting the ecu remaped or a piggy back aftermarket ecu not so much for extra power but more for better efficiency as they are a bit thirsty. Has anyone got any thoughts on the 2gr-fe and this kind of thing? Or would there be any benefits from an aftermarket gearbox controller I know people are getting good efficiency gains on 200 series cruisers with them.

    Cheers

    Chris

I'm thinking a wire in aftermarket will be your only choice. Lots of people have run aftermarket ecus on 2gr (both in their original car and transplanted into thinks like MR2)
