In general, no, doesnt make an awful lot of difference with a little extra length on the small vac hoses other than being aesthetically unattractive...
Very important obviously.
It's a little hard to frame a good question in the title, so I elected to click bait you.
I've got to replace some vacuum hoses on the 1ggze. Mostly I'll just use some generic hose from Repco, but I have a couple of pieces that have neat right angles to clear things. OEM parts are no longer available.
Is it a problem to just use longer lengths of hose with somewhat of a loop? (assuming I can find a pathway that doesn't foul on anything) or is there a way to make right angled bend vacuum hose? The main part in question is a line from the idle control back to the traction control part of the throttle body and I'm not sure it even does anything.

Thanks for that Daddio.
Someone at Classic Celica Appreciation day made the suggestion (which is obvious in hindsight) that a metal pipe with small rubber joiners is a suitable solution.
Thought I'd put that here in case someone else runs into the same issue and hasn't the nouse to work it out.
