    Default What is the difference in ke72 subframe and ae86

    Doing a 1uz swap in a ra28. I need a subframe to make it rack and pinion.

    If both are rack based cross members, they are nearly identical. I remember checking AE71 FSM front end specs with AE86 FSM front end specs, and one spec was 1mm different, but all the others were the same

    Edit - the front subframe mounting hole is 1mm wider/different: The AE71 = 780mm, the AE86 781mm

    so itll work. then all i need is a aw11 manual rack or ae86 rack. id like to keep power steering but im not sure if it will fit.
