I know the meeting isn't for this issue, I just meant why does it need to wait until said meeting to fix it.
I just wanna be able to see stuff other people are selling and if I have to refrain from selling stuff then fine. I just think it's a little unfair, I wasn't spamming the page with stuff for sale.

    You are unblocked, stop whining!

Like I said before, we all have our own lives to live. We dedicate one evening a month to discussing important topics regarding how the club is run. We have slated in a discussion around commercial sales and the club's rules and regulations about that at the next closest meeting. That is a general discussion which has nothing to do with your specific situation. Your account has been unblocked already.

The current rules as they stand means board members have a responsibility to clamp down on anyone seen as doing commercial (ie for profit) sales. Whether the spirit is in helping the community or not. The board members cant pick and choose which rule to follow. We can change the rules with time, if they are not found to be of benefit to the club, and this is the discussion we will be having. Until then though, please respect the fact that we cant bend the rules for everybody.

Wow! Regardless off the outcome of the club meeting, if you want to sell some Celica stuff to help out the Toyota community just post at "Garage Celica" you will be targeting the audience you wish to sell to and not all and sundry visitors to the Toymods page.

    cheers Chuck.

Marcus, just chuck stuff up on gumtree or fleabay.

The rules are here to protect the community by ensuring that the site stays viable. Sucks for you (and for me when I had a stack of parts to flog off), but it is one of those situations where the community good outweighs the hassle for you.

There's no issue with personal sales. We've had the "helping the community" line from businesses as well. Typically, this is horse shit and their main aim is to help their bank account balance. Not suggesting that this is or isn't the case here, general comment only.

This is no problem and the way the world works, except for the part that such folk should be paying to support the platform which is giving them the access to customers to start with. If that platform cannot survive, then it helps noone - whether they are selling anything or not.
