Like the stock 4AGE filter is a Z386 filter, however I run the slightly larger Z432 from the 3SGE because it fits the 4AGE block. I tried a Z553 filter from a 3VZFE which is nearly double the volume, but the seal diameter was 2mm too big for the 4AGE block and under pressure it leaked slightly. If this is a universal sandwedge plate for Toyota motors, I assume the base is wider to support the bigger motors that run bigger filters.

In summary, can I run a Z553 filter on this
Whats the total diameter of the Z553... The thing im concerned about is the filer housing hitting the casting of the 45 deg ports.

    Barry,
how thick are these please? Also, does it need clearance around the silver lug with the two holes in it? (assuming this is the thermostat and it pops open to allow flow)

Hey, its 30mm thick and it does not need clearance, it moves internally not externally.
