Cool! Will CP keep this on file in case (heaven forbid) someone has an 'accident' with their pistons? Of course I'm putting my kit in a 16 valve.

Bazda, I have some Atlantic valves (32.5mm, 27.5mm), will 16V's cutouts be ok for oversized valves?

Will need to make your cut outs larger. Noted down!
To get replacement pistons you will need to go through us.

    Hey Baz

Re: larger valves.. is there anything wrong with running a larger cutout using a standard size valve? I'll be running standard size to begin with but may swap to larger ones in the future. I just thought it may be easier to allow for that option now rather than replacing/recutting pistons later? just a thought

(ignore me if this applies only to high CR NA 16v pistons, and the turbo option runs non interferance ah-la 4agze )

Oh.. and I'm gonna need some serious alone time with that crank, that looks well impressive.

Just a quick question, will these kits come already balanced? Or will I need to take the parts to a local machine shop for balancing?

    thanks,

I could be wrong, but would you not need to get it balanced with your clutch/flywheel and crank pully ??

Well, I am hoping that it would be balanced as those parts are already balanced from the factory. Plus they are still in use right now and I was hoping to have this new stroker put all together then swap out the old
20v engine over Christmas holidays while I am on vacation. BUT if that's not the case then I guess my car will have more down time that I had planned.

Our parts will be balanced from the manufacturing facilities.

You will need to balance it all up with your clutch and pressure plate plus crank pulley. That's the only TRUE way to do it.
You can send us those items and we can balance it for you..

You can just bolt up and not do anything but I would advise a full proper rotating away balance be done.

Ok, I got it, I will just have to change my plans on how long my car will be down, no problem. there is a local machine shop that can do the balancing.

    thanks

Just saw a guy on Facebook trying to sell a 4age 1.8L stroker kit.
I asked why not just use the 7a and save your self alot of money. His reply is the 7a cant rev.
Then he goes on to say he got custom made a 4age 85mm stroke crank LOL. The 7a is 85.5mm. So he basically made a 7a crank just in 4340.

Turning the 4age into a 1.8L means its effectively a 7a but with short rods making the rod stroke ratio well down in the 1.4:1 range.
How that will rev better than a 7a... no idea.

    people be stupid.

also just thought of something else.. if we want to run oil squirters on the &a block will these pistons accomodate for that? ie are the skirts short enough, or do they have cutouts, so that they wont foul on the squirters if we were to go down that path?

Already covered. If you look at the skirt shape we dont need "cutouts" to clear oil squirters.
    Its shaped to clear.
