1g-gte swap into 86 celica supra?

I found a really cheap 1ggte engine complete and comes with extra parts like auto tranny, couple more turbos, mines tuned ecu, most of the wiring harness and a few other parts, i'm going to be trading one of my laptops for it but problem is i heard a few people say it will drop right in and a few say i will need motor mounts, bellhousing so it can bolt up to my w58 tranny ( i think it's a w58 tranny ) and i would need a front sump oil pan. I plan to get this motor still i just need to be set on the right track for the parts i will need and where i can find some of the parts since this is a rare engine in the U.S. what's your guys take on this?

What model is your car? Ma61 or ga61? Isn't 86.5 when a70 came out? This must b end of production model

i don't know what model it is, got it a few weeks ago and only know that its a 86 celica supra not the 86.5 with 5mge 5sp tranny

I found a chart that show mine might be a ma67 since that was the only one sold in usa

Pretty much everything you've said is right.
You'll need either GA61 or GX71 engine mounts, a front sump, and a 1G/W58 bellhousing.
Mechanically it will pretty much all bolt in.
Electrically it will almost be identical to 7MGTE swaps.

When you need parts, look up the numbers at toyodiy.com and order them though amayama.com

Personally though, you'll be underwhelmed by the 1GGTE, and you are much better off going 1JZGTE.
But thats my opinion. The 1GGTE may be perfect for your needs. Only you can answer that.

I don't know if i want the 1ggte but it's the only complete engine where i live that still 5hr aways, but this is the ad i seen

godspeed 80 mm throttle body
one t-12 and one t-26 turbo ... a spare of each included . .i prefered this set up ... CONSTANT boost.
gates racing timing belt
AEM timing gear on intake camshaft
oil cooler lines installed with remote oil cooler plate
two blow off valves included one is turbo xs the other is HKS
all of the small stuff is included .. alternator etc ... will all have to be finished . .but its included..
2jz-gte coil on plug set up
40 mm external wastegate

he want $550 or trade for a nice laptop so i kind of thought that was a good deal and if i do get it i would run 14psi until i got bigger turbo and injectors then run up around 20psi, i'm just looking to get anywhere from 300-400hp

or should i maybe stick with my 5mge and get 7mgte crankshaft and rods, then a turbo kit? and run about 12-15psi?

If you are going 7MGTE, then just drop in a 7MGTE, complete with ECU.

I don't know why but i'm still drawn to the 1ggte, i would like to do a few mods too it till later down the road i can save up for a 1jz or 2jz
