They are AE101 4A-GZE pistons. Compression ratio 8.9:1, and like all GZE pistons, are forged

    Lol FARK!!

Flycuts yes to an extent, if your running nuts overlap or skip a tooth its all over as well..

still i encourage this build, i'd do the same thing if i had a blacktop head (pun intended) at my disposal.

Your AE101 GZE pistons are also ceramic coated too, so be careful when cleaning the piston tops, don't scrub them too hard.

Oh, and I think your head might need a bit of a clean. Hard to see in that photo though..........

Hmmm, they look very similar to the 4AGZE slugs I'm putting into my slightly tweaked 4AFE build -http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthread.php?64392-4AF-head-prep-and-porting

Are they different from the AE92 type?

they are.... the skirts have a slip coating

I'm building a "Super Duty"(pardon Pontiac) 4AFE. I'm using a 20V silvertop block, crank, and rods, and have fitted 4AGZE slugs. The volume of the 4AFE slugs is slightly more(less?) than the 4AGZE slugs, and so the addition of the Z slugs bumps my 4AFE upto 10 to 1, instead of 9.5.

In fact 4AGZE piston look VERY much like the later type of 4AFE pistons.....
