Hi guys,
I had the missus celica at toyota here in canberra for a diagnostic check as there are a few issues relating to central locking, dom light and fuel gauge.
Central and dom is going to be a fairly easy fix which is good but the fuel gauge is a bigger problem.
Toyota inspected the sender and seem to think that it is sending the right voltage so the problem in the dash cluster or should i say "combination meter assembly". to replace this through toyota is $1700 for just the cluster so almost 2k with labour. There is no way this is going to happen.
So does anyone know where i can find a wrecker that sells 7th gen celica parts? also is there a place that could inspect the meter (im assuming the solders or something simple need fixing??) and repair it?
