oldrollas a little history for you. the guy that owns the company is the grandson of autometre. when the company was sold he went out on his own and created speedhut. from speaking with him all components are made in the usa. i find the guages componets just as good as the rest from what i have seen but with the ability to customise.

sounds like everyone is enjoying this. maybe the moderators will let me post some info all good guys when your ready.

dont skimp out on the fuel sender if your getting a fuel guage that sender is 30 years old. upgrade and do it once.

I'm not so worried about fuel level, I'll be putting in a microcontroller for a number of other items anyway, so will put fuel in as well, and give it some calibration too. Might do that with a 5ltr tin - measure the analog value every 5 litres... Same for voltage/charge light. Easy job for me, and I consider those two non-critical enough that I don't require expensive gauges to tell me what they are doing (though if you don't have the ability to create your own warning/indication methods, it is best to purchase a commercially available gauge)

it sounds like you dont even need a speedo either. my technical abilities lie in opening my wallet bending over and getting commercialised and im cool with that. your plan sounds good though just jelous.

volt gauges arent really needed ever anyway.. if your gauges/headunit/headlights are getting dimmer then your battery is getting low simple really

Yeah, but with a volt gauge you can tell when your regulator goes, BEFORE it screws a $350 battery.

My gauges are on their way.

Remember that any purchase over $1000 (not including freight) attracts GST and import duties. So group buys will probably wind up more expensive than just using the 15% discount code.
