    Default Which 2jz-ge??

Is there a 2jz-ge that is front sump, has no traction control or drive by wire throttle and has the A/T control built into the ECU?

If so what would the donor model be? An Aristo or Crown maybe.

JZX91 grande would probably be the closest. But does have traction control.

Is it easy to disable Traction control? Without generating error codes.

Just leave the trc plugged in and it won't chuck any codes. Traction control won't work unless you wire it up.

I left mine unplugged, it probably threw codes but didn't affect the way the engine operated so it didn't bother me.

Fly-by-wire is only found on the later-model VVTi engines so avoid those and you'll be fine.

OK Many thanks to all. I am off to the importers later today to choose my new toy. He claims to have 5 front sump 2jzges in stock.

I had another look today and both the aristo and the crown 2jzge have traction control. They also both have a rubber doughnut on the back of the gearbox instead of a slip yoke. What is the easiest way to get around this?

I ended up buying the engine gearbox conversion package anyway. I need to go back with a box trailer and pick it up.

Get a standard A340 and swap the output shaft.

OK thanks. I have a spare gearbox in the garage. Can I also use my MV stage 1 shift kitted valve body with the crown box?

Yeah, should be able to. Unless you are getting quite a new crown with the 5AT.

The tranny is an A340E (30-40LE).

Is there any thread showing how to swap the output shafts from Doughnut to slip yoke?

OK. I'll have another look there.

I ordered some jzx81 engine mounts from Toyota. Very reasonbly priced. I'm curious to know what others have paid as I have seen them go second hand on ebay for more than what I paid.
