    Default AE86 problems

hey all. got pulled up by the cops for bretho last nite...as i pulled in every part of the car squeeked an groaned as loud as it could an im sure if it could talk it wouldnt be sayin nice things to me but anyway...as i started pullin in, this clunkin started from under the front right guard. cop saids "your not soundin too good there" i said "CV stuffed, got a new one in the shed, fixin tomorrow" cop lets me off. now CV's clunk when they go but this one also has a sort of whining squeel to it. and ive found its fine when accelerating or holding speed but as soon as it starts decelerating it starts again...seems to make more noise when its decelerating in gear then when its not...any other suggestions as to what it could be?? jus dont wanna put a new joint on to find out the bearing is gone aswell etc...

I'd bet a million dollars it's not a CV joint, but it might be a bearing.

    Lol...
The replies so far don't really indicate that ae86's don't actually have CV's. Especially not in the front!

Probably wheel bearing but could be a whole bunch of things.
Brake pads excessively worn? Bushes or ball joints?
Maybe Jack up a front rh corner and see if anything is loose or worn.
It sounds like it may even be best to take it to a mechanic...

Yeah your car is rwd with a live axle no cv's. I second the motion to take it to a mechanic, what you have described could be one of many problems.

looks like you might owe someone one million dollars!

Could well be a cv considering it is actually a fwd car then
