Interesting - will have to check my RA28 and RA23 and see what is there, and I think I still have a TA22 regulator, so I should compare that too.

Fronts are a piece of cake compared to rears. The rears have BIG issues with trying to get the glass in and out, whereas the fronts come out easy as pie.

The fronts are easy as,infact there is only one roller in them that doesnt really do all that much from memory, the main area they clap out is the nylon pieces that sit in the runners or the runners not being sufficiently greased up. I replaced the rollers anyway but didnt really notice any imporovement over the initial re greasing of the runners.

Ricey is spot on there, the roller you are having trouble finding merely keeps the window straight when raising/lowering, and is not a load bearing point, so it doesn't seem to wear out. Re-greasing should prevent a collapse of the bush, but it won't necessarily make any difference to the movement of the window.

Ahh good to know I have ordered some of those bushes from ebay dude in asia some where so will get cracking on them when the bits arrive.

Would the lack of bushes mean the window is hard to wind up, or is it more likely that it just needs the tracks cleaned out and regreased.

Mate there will be a shitload of hardend grease and dirt that will make it hard to do up, there is also a chance that after years of fighting to wind up the windows you can bend some of the tracks etc or move them off their original marks,I have played around with the tracks a couple of times and got smoother movement of the windows, just remember to run a texta around all the adjustment nuts so you have an orignal position to go back to if you make it worse than what it was.

Cheers..I have used Greg's suggestion of hitting each nut with a little spray paint so you can see where it sat. It was a very helpful suggestion.

which means 6 all up. each front window has one each, so you might as well buy 8 while you are there and have your wallet out

So only one each for the fronts. The ebay kits have 6 wheels and I assumed that only covered the doors.

The roller on the front windows doesn't appear to do much, so many people have said don't worry about it. That is probably why the kit only comes with enough to do the rollers on the rear windows, and the beans on the front windows.

I figured the toyota engineers had a reason for having a roller on each front window so i replaced them too.

Thanks for that. I'll get the full kit and see what needs doing. The front windows aren't too bad so maybe they just need the sliders. The backs on the other hand are very bad.

Thanks for the write up and advice fellas.
