Try www.trademe.co.nz. They always have something come up and cheap as well.

Not to mention that you can pick up an AE101 Levin for less than $1k these days!!

I have the super struts as well in my AE101 Trueno and had them changed cos I managed to get some lower km items from a front cut but I just had a look in the garage and cannot find my old ones.....sorry champ! I blame the wife........

ya, i've just found out today that the terra's part numbers are for ae101, my car's ae111 so i got different part number for it...

according to the yahoo auction, these control arms only cost almost 200aud brand new in japan, camber control arm is something like 35aud depending on the conversion rate... and they're almost becoming a made to order part now, so can't get them off the shelf even in japan anymore. our price in australia is like 3 times the price they charge in japan... surely shipping and tax isnt that expensive right...

anyway, thanks guys for the input, my superstrut arm will be replaced soon and i hope this thread will help out anyone who needs to replace their superstrut in the future
    cheers

give CH toyota a call... toymods members get a pretty decent discount (if you're spending that sort of money, toymods membership will definitely save you more than the membership price!)

hey yoey! didn't know that ur here...
the mechanic beat the lower arm 1 hard to take it out which i'm replacing anyway so it was ok... i just needed to know if there was a proper way to take it out just in case i needed to get a second hand one..
i've since decided to go with a new one anyway but i'll see how it goes...

the thing that that mechanic failed to do was to tighten the driveshaft to the hub, and that damaged the wheel bearing in the end..
he blamed me for talking while he is working on the car... so he said i'll pay for parts he will do free labour
i just wanted my car out of his workshop complete... so at another almost 300 dollars later got a new wheel bearing for it...
he also lied to me that my car takes more than 2L of gearbox oil, and charged me for 3L
i knew it only takes 1.8L, but again, i was desperate to take my car out of the place complete...

this happened about 2 years ago, needless to mention, it was the worst experience i've had and i've never been there since... he was a mechanic my friend recommended to "why not give him a try" and in the end i've decided to stick with the workshop i always went to...

try contacting a dealer in NZ
ae101 s/s arms are a lot cheaper over here!

im not too sure about the ae101/111 compatibility..... i thought the subframes were different so the arms are different as well....
