Here are are jzs133 rotors on the ms65 hubs, (perfect fit to hub)

As calculated the hilux caliper (S13WB) is offset by 4-5mm but the killer for that caliper is the height is out by 1-2 mm (to small).

Next week Im heading over to see the crownman as he has a few calipers which may be suitable.

most likely will end up using the BPR BA caliper twin piston 39.5mm,

What happened to the S13W caliper idea? Where'd you end up getting your JZS133 rotors?

I have not completely discarded the S13W caliper but I need to find one first, I only have a S13WB which should be a later casting but (identical other wise) from the measurements I have the S13W should not be a problem so this means the S13WB must be different or the original data was incorrect.

If anyone has an S13W I just need to confirm the height E: below
    Hilux 'small' S13W A:31.5mm B:88.9mm 3.5inch C:29mm D:112.5mm E:72.5mm 4 Piston @ 45.3mm

I will recheck my measurements tonight on the S13WB

The BPR calipers are fitted to the BA Ford & VX Holden these cars are around 16000Kg the pistons are duel 39mm. so this would a good choice for general street usage

    Found rotors online link below

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=290357963898

Shipping was AU$100.00 for up to two set so I pickup up a second set of rotors for the hilux diff conversion, still worked out cheaper then getting them locally

    I too am very keen on finding which version of the S13W caliper you got that measurement from. I have looked through all the catalogues on the net for the places that do remanufactured calipers and the S13W range I could find is as follows;

Do you know what the 'small' ones are off or if they are in any of the pics above?
And is it just me or do all the other calipers look like they have bigger bolt spacings then the S13WB?

Got some of the sizes from the HibridZ forum

    here is the link

Measured the caliper height again and the height is more like 3-4mm out and not the 1-2mm original stated.

Most of the calipers above look to have the larger 5.5inch?? Spacing so I can only take a guess that the "small" come from the early hilux/landcruiser if you can find what year model the S13WB come from then anything before that should have 3.5inch mountings.

I would like to hear people thoughts on using the PBR caliper as opposed to the hilux caliper?

Finally got round Crownman's and pickup up some PBR callipers, below is the comparison between the two.

    PROs for S13WB caliper
    1) 4 Spot
    2) Easier fitting
    3) Made by Toyota

    CONs for S13W Caliper
    1) Weight
    2) Large overhang from hub face excessive 15mm
    3) Smaller pad area

    PROs for PBR caliper
    1) Light weight
    2) Calliper sits inside hub face
    3) Near new calliper can be got as low as $50.00

    CONs for PBR Caliper
    1) floating setup less effective
    2) Harder to mount
    3) Smaller pistons
    4) Made for 28mm rotor not 26mm

What I am looking at now is using the RA28/23 Strut with custom calliper mount and it will be possible to make the bracket to fit both these above callipers,

Here are some picture of the setup, will postup some picture of the prototype brackets when completed.

Remind me what the original motivation was for going down your own development path rather than the C/P/H one?

The second link is to the Classic Celica forum which no longer exists.

The first link will give you all the info required for the brake conversion, plus extra info on the coilover conversion.

i would strongly advise against buying rotors off e-bay
i bought a set at what i thought was a fair price for drilled and slotted and they were knackered within TWO months
this is how they ended 1,500 klms later

Depends on the brand really, the ones for Supras and Skylines and other popular vehicles are RDA brand, and there's nothing wrong with them at all. I've bought 2 sets myself, and they're great.

If they're some generic brand you've never heard of, then yes avoid them.

Fitting the crown MS65 hubs and Hilux calipers to the XT130 strut.
I found the S12W caliper sit proud of the hubs by 6.5mm.
Fitted some different wheels and the calipers cleared the wheels no problems.
Hi i know that this is a long time ago but you list a S13w (small) caliper with ~ 2.5mm E radius, what vehicle is this caliper found on?

Im trying to fit larger rotors on my lux 4x4, these calipers with modded GUN 26 SCT rotors may fit the bill
