yes there's a shop (now) in Kaitaia NZ (formerly Kumeu) that makes customised mls gaskets and has the TG pattern. i started a group buy thread some time back. my friend races a 450hp 3tgte with them. theyre about 1.6mm thick with combustion chamber crush rings and the middle layer looks to be a graphite substance but unsure. They're race proven anyhow and need flat surfaces to seal correctly. If you can't find a contact for them let me know or if cant be bothered looking I have a spare one.

Cool. How is 1.6mm vs standard thickness? What bore size is your gasket? I've got a standard block so looking to do the head stud mod and upgrade the HG before winding a bit of boost in but don't want to lower the compression ratio too much from stock

Hi all just thought id some specs of mine in.

3tgte fully rebuilt by a previous owner ( fingers crossed on the build quality for now )
4x 4 agze twin coils
custom flywheel and sensor setup at the front for the CAS
evo 550 injectors
big external fuel pump and surge tank
oil cooler
front mount intercooler
big ford throttle body (not sure what off)
link storm computer
haltech ignition
3 inch exhaust
custom manifold, 3 inch pipe on standard runners
w55 gearbox
turbo GTX 2867 gen 2, .86 rear, 18psi actuator
210 kw atw on 24 psi, 219kw on 28 psi
full boost by around 4000rpm but its making over 200 by 4500 then the power pretty much flat lines. looks like the standard intake runners and head just cant flow much more power.
Anyone on here have a spare head that's been worked or stock? any fabricators on here that can make a manifold with big runners?

Would be keen to some pictures of how that is done,

we are building a Celica race car with a 3TGTE engine and may be keen to make something similar,
as you get a better signal from the crankshaft direct.

Hey dx20vt you may be interested in eric budds race engine? 2 time gtrnz nzgt winner I believe in his white te71 levin. Running crank trigger and sync on the dizzy already. Link g4 etc. He said he was moving up to gt2 or something so needed moar power and selling his 3tgte.

I know that car and have actually raced against it myself a few years back. We were pitted alongside him and had a few chats.
Last time I saw that car it was red and was a bit... um.. agricultural.

We are building something a bit different,
we already have a stroker crank, rods, pistons, valves, springs, etc etc on the way from japan/usa for our build.

Noice. Do you have a build thread?? are you using the 4Y crank? This be interesting
Haha yeah agricultural would be correct. built in a farm shed. It's come a long way since then.

no not a 4y crank.
It is a proper forged stroker crank from the states.
No build thread yet, but have thought about one.
Will probably wait until the car is more complete before I see if I can post a build thread.
