Nothing from a T series engine is compatible with an 18R-G.

Dunno about that Norbie... I believe the upper timing tensioner is actually the same (3TGTE looks the same also). Other than that... sump plug maybe??

A few bits from the timing chain assembly can be used.
    Such as the
    No.2 Chain tensioner. P/N 13550-88210
    No.2 Chain dampner. P/N 13562-88210
And perhaps the chains and cogs may be interchangeable.

And i know the long curved timing chain slipper can be modified to suit the 18rg one. It is 1/4 of an inch shorter both ends but this is no problem. You have to weld the 18rg bracket onto the 2tg dampner. It WAS easier to get the 2tg parts, but last i heard they had run out in the US aswell.

Maybe you could also use the camshaft caps if you had lost a few for the 18rg. Last resort.

Centre console from an auto RA23/28 needs modification. The rectangle in the centre is in the wrong place in comparison to where the shifter comes up.

What car do you have ?
