Default DIY: Pajero brake master cylinder upgrade

I finally got around to upgrading the brakes on my AE71 with a simple bolt in RT132 Corona twin pot setup. I found that a common and simple upgrade for the master cylinder was the pajero type which is about 15/16 in size. This size of MC is sufficient for most brake upgrades like hilux & rx7 4pots etc.
This upgrade is suitable to corollas such as KE35/TA22/AE86/TE72/AE71.... well pretty much anything with an 80mm bolt spacing on the brake booster. Pics will explain it.

    Original ae71 MC:

To add further: The Brake MC can be found in the following Pajero's and Triton's.
    Pajero

NB, NC 2.3lt, all fuel types, LWB 11/84 - 10/86

    ND turbo 2.5lt diesel 10/87 - 07/88

    ND 2.6lt LWB 10/87 - 08/88

    NE SWB 10/87 - 08/88

    Triton

    ME 4X4 10/86 - 07/88

    MF 4X4, 4X2 07/88 - 09/89

Another thing which isnt mentioned in the forums is that the pajero MC has a banjo fitting for the front brake port. The banjo fitting is actually a double adaptor for two brake lines, This is useless as the corolla has just a front port and a rear port. Simple solution was to find a banjo fitting to suit a single brake line.
A fitting of this sort seemed to be a bit pricey. Luckily i found what car to find them on whilst parts hunting at pick n pay.

Good work on finding a banjo fitting from another car. They do get expensive.

Yeah especially when you got to get them custom made i.e. motorsport connections, pirtek, enzed, etc.

They also come out of Mitsu Starions. I had always wondered what else used the same master....

    No worries fellas,
Those single banjos can also be found on the clutch master of the gd telstars... manual models obviously. So theres plenty out there anyway

Nice work, does the Pajero M/C have a low level switch or does a cap from something else fit that has one?

I want to do this upgrade on my TA22 but I prefer the low level switch so the OK monitor keeps the right signal.

    Cheers,
    Simon
