Default [Help]: Toyota Tuners in Melbourne?

    Hey guys,
I think i've got a bit of a knock issue with the GZE and want to have it tuned - are there any tuners in melbourne you'd recommend?

PS: It has a Apexi SAFC piggy back mounted

    Thanks,
    Lichan

If you disconnect all the piggyback stuff, is there still a problem there? Check base timing and knock sensors first, and also be sure you're using something better than Safeway fuel.

The only reason I can see this 'knock' is because i have the piggyback gear monitoring it, i can't actually hear any obvious signs of knock at all.

And I'm using Mobil Synergy 8000 as my fuel

Try Ray at Gizzmo, he can tune just about anything, failing that Creatd motor sport, but i think they just use Ray for all that shit.

I was quoted $150 for first hour, $100 for every subsequent hour from Chasers - does this sound excessive to any of you? He said it should take about 1.5-2hrs?

Perfectly normal charge. The trick is to make sure you've already looked for all the silly little things before you take it there, so you don't waste hundreds of dollars on someone else doing simple stuff you should have done yourself.

Ensure that the knock sensor monitor is calibrated correctly also. In reading up on the SAFC2 many dismissed the knock level as a gimmick.
