1uz + Corona?

i always wanted to transplant a 1uz into an rt142. It will fit as the strut towers are the same distance apart as a ra23/28. it would be cool to get a nice grunty sound from a grandma corona!

Should get by... but it wont be cheap and the engineer will want specific mods.

Use ECU from half cut - wire it yourself (if you're half handy with a test light and a wiring diagram). Air con - use the compressor that's on the engine but you will probably need to modify the plumbing. Not sure if the RT142 system uses the same sort of aluminium connectors that the later model Toyotas seem to use and sorting out the idle up won't be too hard either. Anyway that's just detail stuff.

The car just weighs over 1000kg, so yeah, in regards to engineering, i wonder if its ok?

I dont know, driving the car last night, feels like the chasis will break with a v8 in it haha.

Would be awesome to have tho, b ut when i look at the prices of celsiors and crowns these days, wonder if its even worth it.

Putting it bluntly, while it would be a relatively easy and interesting conversion, if you need to pay someone to do it just buy the celsior
You won't get much change out of $10k, and celsiors start around there....

it is EW but the motor started its life NS so switching back isnt hard.

plus some surf ute or other has this motor in RWD form.

i thik gianttomato made adaptor rings to bolt W5X to 3VZ

RTA sez 3 x weight upto 1100kg so even then thats only 3.3ltr.

if your over 1100kg then you'd be looking at 5.3ltr and up depending on weight.
