Hope people can help.

The car starts up OK, but after about 30 mins or so it starts playing up, the idling revs go up randomly to 2000 / 2500 & then back to normal or it drops below normal when pulling up to a set of lights & cuts out altogether & stalls (& often does not want to restart without sitting dead for 30 mins or so & a plume of black smoke out the back when it does).

The guy who works on the car thinks he has it nailed down to a faulty airflow meter. Is he thinking along the right lines?? (in which case, where is a good place to source one?? Does it have to be ST-185 specific??)
